Argyresthia trifasciata

The first Brecknock sighting of this tiny golden moth, smaller than a grain of rice, was made in a Brecon garden this weekend (4/6/16). Argyresthia trifasciata, first noted in 1982, reached Britain in imported plants and is spreading north and west. Its larva is a miner in the leaves and shoots of Cypress. Photo by Keith Noble.
